Channel EQ

The channel EQ can be equipped with up to 24 EQ-bands. For visual guidance and convenient control, a graphical representation of the EQ parameters with touch control and a derived phase of the signal is part of the EQ section.

Mission Control - Channel EQ

(1) EQ Vsualization(1) EQ Vsualization

The visualization of the EQ offers not only a graphical representation but also provides a touch (drag&drop) control.

The numbered green dots indicate the respective EQ band. Clicking on a dot and holding the left mouse button enables you to adjust gain and frequency. Using the "strg" (Windows) or "ctrl" (Mac) modifier, the Q-Factor can be adjusted by moving the mouse up or down. Right click on the dot brings up a option list with EQ types to choose from.

(2) Phase(2) Phase

"Show phase" derives the total phase of the signal. The phase curve is displayed overlayed.

(3) EQ Display Source(3) EQ Display Source

You can choose which EQ source you want to see in the visualization area.

  • Local: Shows only EQ bands that are created directly in the channel's EQ section. (Green)
  • External: Shows EQ bands that are set from an external source (CusCon) but influences the EQ of this channel. (Blue/Purple)
  • Total: Shows all EQ bands. Local and Internal at the same time.

(4) EQ-bands Panel(4) EQ-bands Panel

You can see all EQ-bands (Internal = green, External = blue/purple) that have been created and are ready to use. You can interact directly with the values.

(5) Add new EQ-band(5) Add new EQ-band

Clicking on the "plus" button on the right of the EQ-band panel creates a new EQ-band. The newly created EQ-band is immediately displayed in the panel.

(6) EQ Controls(6) EQ Controls

You can bypass, toggle on/off or flatten the channel EQ.

(7) EQ Paramaters(7) EQ Paramaters

The integrated EQ offers full control of all parameters. To adjust settings click on the parameter you would like to change and enter the new value. You can also use the graphic EQ to adjust the values.

  • EQ-band number: switch EQ-band on or off
  • Type: LowPass, HighPass, Bell, LowShelf, HighShelf, AllPass
  • Frequency: Center frequency of EQ-band
  • Gain: boost or attenuate
  • Quality: Q-Factor

Caution: Be very careful when changing the EQ-Type. Depending on the current settings speaker or hearing damage can be caused by sudden loud and energetic sound output. It is highly recommend to set the gain to 0 dB prior changing the EQ-Type.
